Bibliotheca Sacra Volumes 1-90
|
Bibliotheca Sacra is the oldest continuously published journal in the Western Hemisphere. Since 1934, starting with volume 91, it has been published by Dallas Theological Seminary. But prior to that, it was published by:
- Andover Theological Seminary (1844-1883)
- Oberlin College (1884-1921)
- Xenia Theological Seminary (1922-1933)
These volumes are a fascinating resource for doing historical research. You can see how bible scholars dealt with such "current" events as Darwin's new book, slavery, World War I, and more. It's interesting to see that the cultural issues of their day and apologetics arguments of their day aren't so different from ours.
Note: we decided not to digitize the book reviews as 100+ year old book reviews are not very useful.
